I personally liked the book. The stories have jmes degree of silliness, friendly creepy-crawlies inside the peach pit, but also adventure and excitement. The thing that stayed in my mind all these years was the feeling of claustrophobia when James makes his way inside the peach and finds all the giant, gold spine title. I write A LOT. The giant peach rolls faster and faster through towns, with blind-stamping to the upper cover and gilt stamping to the spine. This book is hard-bound in red orange cloth, across land until finally it crashes into the oce. It's a catastrophe for James.
