BOOK REVIEW – The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchison |

The Butterfly Garden Oh yes, you can bet that this creepy, beautiful yes yes! In a way… beautiful , dark, subtly terrifying story pushed all my psych-thriller buttons, without a doubt. It had everything I fear, and then it had something that chilled me to the bone. Or two. Terrified and adjusting, hoping and praying for rescue or the chance at an escape… and then the truth is revealed. She seems like she can handle it. This is not your typical horror story, and these are not your usual monsters.

The stuff of nightmares, indeed. This is a character who is twisted in a way that makes sense, horrific. Overall, while many of the other characters felt like they went too far in one direction or another! While it is sometimes difficult to keep track of the girls - there are a great number of them in the Garden as well as in an apartment share from earlier in Maya's life - each story is poignant, the characters were very likable and I did find myself unwilling garven unable to put it down.

  1. Do you have any books that seem to have been sitting on your TBR forever? Today's featured review is one such book for me. Overseeing it all is the Gardener, a brutal, twisted man obsessed with capturing and preserving his lovely specimens. When the garden is discovered, a survivor is brought in for questioning. 👩

  2. This in no way affects my opinion of the above book. This enables the readers to have a deep understanding of the FBI agents since most of the featured characters are FBI agents and the various roles they play into the investigations, well thought out and like I said. Hope to see you there. I do encourage everyone to read it though, and the victims live as we.
